Yesterday evening we decided to head out to the coast and ditched the windless 99 degree weather of Hood River and the Gorge. We drove west towards Seaside and then south to Canon Beach only to find that the campgrounds were completely full for the fourth of July weekend. We found a spot tucked away off the road overlooking Manzanita near Oswald west. Not too shabby, the view was incredible.
Unfortunately it looks like the wind is dead at the coast today so we are packing up and heading down to Pacific City for a standup paddle session.
